David Wilcox spoke to Jeremy Gould near the end of the ukgovweb Barcamp that he organised on January 26 2007. It was hosted by Google at their London HQ. The 80 people attending were a mix of civil servants working on government web projects, contractors, consultants and freelances.
Barcamps are partly self-organising, so at the start of the event anyone can put up an idea for a session they'll run, on a large board, and people decides where to go. Before the event some people on the Google group discussion were anxious whether this would work. Jeremy says he was too - but it turned out fine.
